Challenger Video

For all these years, the only known video of the Challenger disaster was the official press stuff we've all seen a billion times.  And then this guy named Jack Moss revealed on his deathbed that he'd gotten video of the explosion with his Betamax camcorder and for some reason never told anyone about it.  Now that video has been added to the Space Exploration Archive, even though, technically, Challenger never got into space that particular day.  But there's no Blew Up Before Getting into Space Archive, so, close enough.

That is, indeed, trouble of some kind, George.

I hear George at the watering hole and that's what he says every time a girl walks in the place.

There's no Blew Up Before Getting into Space Archive? Seems that archive would be more populated than the Actually Made It Into Orbit Archive.

I knew everybody would be making fun of the way this guy talks, and it's true he did sound silly, but I did think that was an interesting video. Thanks for posting it, Crabbie.

Anonymous, we're allowed to make fun of someone without it taking away from the video. Honestly, I've seen this footage (from a different angle) many times so the only thing that really held my interest was the reaction from the spectators. THAT was new and refreshing to me.

I wonder why the guy never released these videos? He mentioned it on his deathbed so he knew he had something valuable. Why did he hang onto them secretly for so long? It all seemed pretty ho-hum to me.
